Απόψε φτάνει στο νησί ο γενικός γραματέας του Οργανισμού Ηνωμένων Εθνών, ο οποίος αύριο και μεθαύριο θα έχει σειρά επαφών.
Πληροφορίες του ΡΙΚ αναφέρουν οτι ο Γκουτέρες θα επιδιώξει να “κλειδώσει” το διαπραγματευτικό κεκτημένο, ώστε να το κληροδοτήσει στο διάδοχό του για να ανοίξει ο δρόμος για την σύγκληση νέας άτυπης διάσκεψης υπο την προυπόθεση οτι θα ανάψει το πράσινο φως η Τουρκία.
Θα προηγηθεί στις 9 και 30 σήμερα το πρωι συναντήση της προσωπικής απεσταλμένης του γενικού γραμματέα Μαρία Άνχελα Ολγκίν με τον Πρόεδρο Χριστοδουλίδη και ακολουθως με τον ηγέτη των Τουρκοκυπρίων.
Αύριο στις 10 το πρωί το πρωϊ ο Αντόνιο Γκουτερες θα συναντηθεί με τον Πρόεδρο της Δημοκρατίας και στις 11 και 45 με τον Τουρκοκύπριο ηγέτη Τουφαν Ερχιουμαν.
Αύριο βράδυ ο κυριος Γκουτερες θα συμμετάσχει σε ιδιωτικό δείπνο, με τους δύο ηγέτες, στην Οικία του Ειδικού Αντιπροσώπου Χασίμ Ντιάν στο Αεροδρόμιο Λευκωσίας.
Την Τετάρτη το πρωί ο γενικός γραμματέας των Ηνωμένων Εθνών θα πραγματοποιήσει κοινή συνάντηση με τους δύο ηγέτες στο Αεροδρόμιο Λευκωσίας και αμέσως μετά θα μιλήσει σε διάσκεψη τύπου.

Significant developments are expected in the coming days regarding the Cyprus issue.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations is arriving on the island tonight and will hold a series of meetings tomorrow and the following day.
According to information obtained by CyBC (Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation), Guterres will seek to “lock in” the negotiating acquis so that it can be handed over to his successor, paving the way for the convening of a new informal conference, provided that Turkey gives the green light.
Earlier today, at 9:30 a.m., the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General, María Ángela Holguín, will meet with President Christodoulides and subsequently with the leader of the Turkish Cypriots.
Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., António Guterres will meet with the President of the Republic, and at 11:45 a.m. with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhürman.
Tomorrow evening, Mr Guterres will attend a private dinner with the two leaders at the residence of the Special Representative, Hasim Djal (Hashim Djal), at Nicosia Airport.
On Wednesday morning, the United Nations Secretary-General will hold a joint meeting with the two leaders at Nicosia Airport and will immediately afterwards address a press conference.
