Βανδαλισμοί στην παραλία σκύλων: Καταγγελία για καταστροφή των δωρεάν υποδομών
Έντονη απογοήτευση προκαλεί η καταγγελία της συνδημότισσας μας Χριστίνας Αγαπίου για καταστροφή των κρεβατιών και ομπρελών που τοποθετήθηκαν στην παραλία σκύλων, μετά από αίτημα των πολιτών και με τη στήριξη του Δήμου. Όπως αναφέρει, η ενέργεια αυτή στερεί από την κοινότητα μια σημαντική παροχή και αναδεικνύει το ζήτημα του σεβασμού στη δημόσια περιουσία.

Μπράβο σας ρε “Μάγκες”!!
Ζητήσαμε δωρεάν κρεβατάκια και ομπρέλες για την παραλία σκύλων και το Δημαρχείο ανταποκρίθηκε στο αίτημά μας. Δυστυχώς, όμως, κάποιοι απέδειξαν ότι δεν μπορούν να σεβαστούν ούτε αυτά που τους προσφέρονται δωρεάν.
Πρώτα έκλεψαν τα κρεβατάκια. Το Δημαρχείο τα αντικατέστησε, δείχνοντας καλή θέληση. Και τώρα κάποιοι τα έσπασαν κσι τα έκρουσαν! Αυτό δεν είναι ούτε «μαγκιά», ούτε αστείο. Είναι βανδαλισμός, έλλειψη παιδείας και απόλυτη ασέβεια προς τη δημόσια περιουσία και προς όλους όσοι χρησιμοποιούν την παραλία.
Στο σπίτι σας έτσι συμπεριφέρεστε; Σπάτε τα έπιπλά σας; Αν όχι, τότε γιατί καταστρέφετε αυτά που ανήκουν σε όλους μας;
Ένα μεγάλο «μπράβο» σε εκείνον ή εκείνους που ένιωσαν σημαντικοί καταστρέφοντας δημόσια περιουσία. Ελπίζω να άξιζε η στιγμή της δήθεν «μαγκιάς», γιατί εξαιτίας της δικής σας ανευθυνότητας είναι πολύ πιθανό να μη δούμε ξανά κρεβατάκια στην παραλία που είναι για τα σκυλάκια μας! Είναι άδικο για εμάς τους εθελοντές και σε όσους σέβονται την παραλία, να τα στερηθούμε γιατί εσείς είστε ανεγκέφαλοι!
Όταν κάποιοι ζητούν καλύτερες υποδομές και περισσότερες παροχές, να θυμούνται ότι αυτές προϋποθέτουν σεβασμό. Γιατί όταν καταστρέφεις ό,τι σου προσφέρεται, δεν στερείς μόνο από τον εαυτό σου. Στερείς από όλους τους υπόλοιπους το δικαίωμα να απολαμβάνουν έναν όμορφο και φροντισμένο δημόσιο χώρο.
Η δημόσια περιουσία δεν είναι ξένη περιουσία. Είναι η περιουσία όλων μας. Και όποιος τη βανδαλίζει, δεν κάνει ζημιά στο Δημαρχείο. Κάνει ζημιά σε ολόκληρη την κοινωνία. Είναι άδικο για εμάς τους εθελοντές της παραλίας, που φροντίζουμε για τις καλύτερες συνθήκες των τετράποδων φίλων μας!!
Vandalism at the dog beach: Complaint over the destruction of free facilities
A complaint by our fellow citizen Christina Agapiou regarding the destruction of the sunbeds and umbrellas placed at the dog beach has caused strong disappointment. The facilities were installed following a request from citizens and with the support of the Municipality. As she states, this act deprives the community of an important amenity and highlights the issue of respect for public property.

Well done, “tough guys”!
We asked for free sunbeds and umbrellas for the dog beach, and the Municipality responded to our request. Unfortunately, however, some people have proven that they cannot even respect things that are offered to them for free.
First, the sunbeds were stolen. The Municipality replaced them, showing goodwill. And now some people have broken and destroyed them! This is neither “being tough” nor a joke. It is vandalism, a lack of education, and complete disrespect towards public property and towards everyone who uses the beach.
Do you behave like this in your own home? Do you break your own furniture? If not, then why do you destroy things that belong to all of us?
A big “well done” to whoever felt important by destroying public property. I hope that moment of supposed “toughness” was worth it, because due to your irresponsibility, it is very likely that we will not see sunbeds again at the beach that is meant for our dogs. It is unfair for us volunteers and for all those who respect the beach to be deprived of them because of your thoughtlessness!
When some people ask for better facilities and more services, they should remember that these require respect. Because when you destroy what is offered to you, you are not only depriving yourself. You are depriving everyone else of the right to enjoy a beautiful and well-maintained public space.
Public property is not someone else’s property. It belongs to all of us. And whoever vandalises it is not harming the Municipality. They are harming the entire community. It is unfair to us, the beach volunteers, who work to ensure the best possible conditions for our four-legged friends!!
