Το ΑΚΕΛ δεν θα δεχτεί κουκούλωμα
Η επιμονή των διορισμένων από τον κ. Αναστασιάδη, πρώην Υπουργών του, να παραμένουν στις θέσεις του Γενικού και Βοηθού Γενικού Εισαγγελέα και η λεγόμενη αυτοεξαίρεσή τους, έχει βραχυκυκλώσει την ποινική έρευνα. Ο δε διορισμός πέντε ποινικών ανακριτών, με πολύ μεγάλη καθυστέρηση, εκ των οποίων οι δύο τουλάχιστον έχουν προφανή σύγκρουση συμφερόντων, αφήνει εκτεθειμένη την κυβέρνηση Χριστοδουλίδη που τους επέλεξε, ανεξαρτήτως του γεγονότος ότι πρόκειται για έγκριτους νομικούς.
Το ΑΚΕΛ ανησυχεί ότι τα πολύ σοβαρά ευρήματα της Αρχής κατά της Διαφθοράς, τα οποία θέτουν στο επίκεντρο της ποινικής έρευνας τον επίτιμο Πρόεδρο του ΔΗΣΥ, κ. Νίκο Αναστασιάδη, κινδυνεύουν με κουκούλωμα. Όσοι απεργάζονται τέτοια σενάρια θα πρέπει να γνωρίζουν πως θα βρουν τόσο το ΑΚΕΛ όσο και την κοινωνία απέναντί τους.

AKEL will not accept a cover-up
The insistence of the officials appointed by Mr. Anastasiades, his former Ministers, to remain in the positions of Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General, and their so-called self-exclusion, has effectively paralysed the criminal investigation. The appointment of five criminal investigators, with significant delay, of whom at least two have an obvious conflict of interest, leaves the government of Christodoulides, which selected them, exposed—regardless of the fact that they are distinguished legal professionals.
AKEL is concerned that the very serious findings of the Anti-Corruption Authority, which place the honorary President of DISY, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades, at the centre of the criminal investigation, risk being covered up. Those who are planning such scenarios should know that they will find both AKEL and society standing against them.
