ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΗ ΕΛΑΜ ΓΙΑ ΜΑΡΙ
Κάθε χρόνο τέτοια μέρα, οι σκέψεις μας βρίσκονται με τις οικογένειες των 13 θυμάτων της φονικής έκρηξης στο Μαρί, που αναμένουν να απονεμηθεί δικαιοσύνη δεκαπέντε χρόνια μετά.
Η, σύμφωνα με το σχετικό πόρισμα, εγκληματική αμέλεια της διακυβέρνησης του ΑΚΕΛ, έφερε την τραγωδία που σημειώθηκε στις 11 Ιουλίου 2011, στη Ναυτική Βάση στο Μαρί, στοιχίζοντας τη ζωή σε 13 λεβέντες εν ώρα καθήκοντος.
Ως Εθνικό Λαϊκό Μέτωπο (Ε.ΛΑ.Μ.) δεν θα επιτρέψουμε ποτέ ξανά οι ιδεολογικές αγκυλώσεις της Αριστεράς να μας οδηγήσουν σε ανάλογη τραγωδία. Ούτε θα επιτρέψουμε να ξεχαστεί ο άδικος χαμός των ηρώων του Μαρί.
Επιμένουμε στην απαίτησή μας για παραδειγματική τιμωρία όλων των ενόχων, μέχρι και τη δικαίωση της μνήμης των παλικαριών, που τόσο άδικα έχασαν ό,τι πολυτιμότερο είχαν εν καιρώ ειρήνης.
Αιωνία αυτών η μνήμη.
ELAM Statement on the Mari Tragedy
Every year on this day, our thoughts are with the families of the 13 victims of the deadly Mari explosion, who are still waiting for justice to be served fifteen years later.
According to the findings of the official investigation, the criminal negligence of the AKEL administration led to the tragedy that occurred on July 11, 2011, at the Naval Base in Mari, claiming the lives of 13 brave men who died in the line of duty.
As the National Popular Front (ELAM), we will never again allow the ideological rigidities of the Left to lead our country into a similar tragedy. Nor will we allow the unjust loss of the heroes of Mari to be forgotten.
We remain steadfast in our demand for exemplary punishment of all those responsible, until justice is fully served and the memory of those young men, who so unjustly lost their most precious possession—their lives—in a time of peace, is vindicated.
May their memory be eternal.
