Συνεδριάζει σήμερα, Πέμπτη 2 Ιουλίου 2026, στις 6:00 μ.μ., στον Πολυδύναμο Πολυχώρο Κοινωνικής Πρόνοιας και Απασχόλησης του Δήμου Λάρνακας (πρώην Κοινοτικό), η Επιτροπή Ανάπτυξης Λάρνακας.
Θέμα της συνεδρίας η παρουσίαση του οδικού χάρτη για την ανάπτυξη του Λιμανιού – Μαρίνας Λάρνακας από την Αρχή Λιμένων Κύπρου.
Πρόκειται για μια συνεδρία με ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα, καθώς η ανάπτυξη του Λιμανιού και της Μαρίνας αποτελεί ένα από τα σημαντικότερα αναπτυξιακά έργα για τη Λάρνακα και αναμένεται να διαμορφώσει την οικονομική, τουριστική και επιχειρηματική πορεία της πόλης τα επόμενα χρόνια.
Η παρουσίαση του οδικού χάρτη αναμένεται να δώσει μια εικόνα για το τι μέλλει γενέσθαι, τι σκοπεύει και πώς να εργαστεί η ΑΛΚ και αν τελικά, δικαίως, το ΕΒΕΛ και πολλοί άλλοι τοπικοί παράγοντες ήταν από την αρχή θετικοί προς την ΑΛΚ πριν καν παρουσιαστεί ο οδικός χάρτης.
Είχαν δίκιο όλοι αυτοί που δεν ήθελαν τον επενδυτή και παρουσιάστηκαν από την αρχή θετικοί προς την ΑΛΚ;
Ήξεραν κάτι περισσότερο από εμάς που ήμασταν και είμαστε ιδιαίτερα επιφυλακτικοί με την ΑΛΚ;
Μεγάλο μέρος των αποριών θα απαντηθεί σήμερα.
Αναμένουμε να δούμε και τι κονδύλια σκοπεύει να διαθέσει η ΑΛΚ για το project και από πού θα τα βρει.
(Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι το master plan του επενδυτή μιλούσε για έργα 1,2 δισ.).
Η πόλη δεν ήθελε τον επενδυτή, επέλεξε στην πλειοψηφία την ΑΛΚ.
Ας δούμε, λοιπόν, πώς, πότε και με τι ποσά λογαριάζει να εργαστεί η ΑΛΚ για το λιμάνι και τη μαρίνα Λάρνακας, ένα έργο που παραμένει ανοιχτή πληγή και εμπαιγμός για την επαρχία μας μέχρι στιγμής.
The Larnaca Development Committee meets today to discuss the future of the Port and Marina

The Larnaca Development Committee is meeting today, Thursday, 2 July 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Multipurpose Social Welfare and Employment Centre of the Municipality of Larnaca (former Community Centre), in Larnaca.
The agenda of the meeting is the presentation of the roadmap for the development of the Larnaca Port and Marina by the Cyprus Ports Authority.
This is a meeting of particular significance, as the development of the Port and Marina is one of the most important infrastructure projects for Larnaca and is expected to shape the city’s economic, tourism, and business trajectory in the years ahead.
The presentation of the roadmap is expected to provide a clearer picture of what lies ahead, what the Cyprus Ports Authority plans, and how it intends to proceed, as well as whether the CCCI and many other local stakeholders were ultimately right to support the Authority from the outset, even before the roadmap was presented.
Did those who rejected the investor and initially supported the Cyprus Ports Authority have a point?
Did they know something more than us, who remain and have remained particularly cautious about the Authority?
A large part of these questions will be answered today.
We also look forward to seeing what budget the Cyprus Ports Authority intends to allocate to the project and where the funding will come from.
(We remind readers that the investor’s master plan referred to projects worth €1.2 billion.)
The city did not want the investor and, by majority decision, chose the Cyprus Ports Authority.
Let us therefore see how, when, and with what funds the Authority plans to proceed with the Larnaca Port and Marina project, a project which so far remains an open wound and a source of frustration for our province.
