Η αναδημοσίευση παρέμεινε στην επίσημη σελίδα του Τμήματος Τελωνείων για περίπου μία ώρα, προτού γίνει αντιληπτή και διαγραφεί.
Τη λύπη του για την αναδημοσίευση περιεχομένου συγκεκριμένης φοιτητικής παράταξης στην επίσημη σελίδα του στο Facebook εκφράζει το Τμήμα Τελωνείων, αποδίδοντας το περιστατικό ενδεχομένως σε τυχαίο πάτημα του σχετικού κουμπιού από διαχειριστή της σελίδας.
Η αναδημοσίευση παρέμεινε στην επίσημη σελίδα του Τμήματος Τελωνείων για περίπου μία ώρα, προτού γίνει αντιληπτή και διαγραφεί.
Σύμφωνα με τη Διεύθυνση του Τμήματος, το περιστατικό ενδέχεται να σημειώθηκε κατά τη διαδικασία ανάρτησης πρόσφατης υπόθεσης κατάσχεσης καπνικών προϊόντων στο Αεροδρόμιο Λάρνακας.
Όπως αναφέρεται, «οι διαχειριστές της σελίδας μόλις έγινε αντιληπτή η αναδημοσίευση κατέβαλαν κάθε δυνατή προσπάθεια για να την διαγράψουν και το έπραξαν άμεσα».
Η Διεύθυνση του Τμήματος Τελωνείων εκφράζει, εκ μέρους του προσωπικού, τις απολογίες της για το περιστατικό, σημειώνοντας: «Εκφράζουμε εκ μέρους όλου του προσωπικού τις ειλικρινείς μας απολογίες για την αναστάτωση που προκλήθηκε από την ατυχή αυτή αναδημοσίευση».

The Customs Department has expressed its regret over the reposting of content from a specific student political organisation on its official Facebook page, attributing the incident possibly to an accidental click of the relevant button by a page administrator.

According to the Department’s Directorate, the incident may have occurred during the process of uploading a recent post regarding the seizure of tobacco products at Larnaca Airport.
It stated that “once the repost was noticed, the page administrators made every possible effort to delete it and did so immediately.”
The Directorate of the Customs Department, on behalf of its staff, expressed its apologies for the incident, stating: “On behalf of all our personnel, we express our sincere apologies for the disruption caused by this unfortunate repost.”
