Η ΠΟΕΔ ζητά από Μιχαηλίδου γραπτώς την πρόταση του ΥΠΑΝ για το Σύστημα Διορισμών
Ώστε να καταστεί δυνατή η συμμετοχή της ΠΟΕΔ στη συνάντηση
Με σημερινή επιστολή της στην Υπουργό Παιδείας Αθηνά Μιχαηλίδου, η ΠΟΕΔ ζητά όπως πριν από την έναρξη του διαλόγου για το θέμα συστήματος διορισμών, της αποσταλεί γραπτώς η συνολική πρόταση, η οποία θα περιλαμβάνει τις θέσεις του Υπουργείου.
Αναφέρει στην επιστολή της:
«Αναφορικά με το πιο πάνω θέμα και σε συνέχεια της πρόσκλησης που λάβαμε από το γραφείο σας για συνάντηση στις 17 Ιουλίου 2026 με θέμα το Σύστημα Διορισμού Εκπαιδευτικών, θα θέλαμε αρχικά να επαναλάβουμε τη θέση της Οργάνωσης για διατήρηση της διαδικασίας προσλήψεων και μονιμοποιήσεων από τους καταλόγους Διοριστέων και Διορισίμων και μετά το 2027, με την υφιστάμενη πρακτική που ακολουθείται σήμερα (50% – 50%), καθώς και για ουσιαστική αντιμετώπιση των στρεβλώσεων που έχουν προκύψει από την εφαρμογή του Νέου Σχεδίου Διορισμών στην Εκπαίδευση, με βασική αρχή τη μη θυματοποίηση εκπαιδευτικών που υπηρετούν στο Δημόσιο Σχολείο.
Παράλληλα, η ΠΟΕΔ παραμένει σταθερά προσηλωμένη στον θεσμοθετημένο και ουσιαστικό κοινωνικό διάλογο και, ως εκ τούτου, είναι έτοιμη να ανταποκριθεί θετικά σε προσκλήσεις που αφορούν ουσιαστικό και ποιοτικό διάλογο.
Ωστόσο, θεωρούμε αυτονόητη προϋπόθεση για την πραγματοποίηση μιας ουσιαστικής και παραγωγικής συνάντησης, την εκ των προτέρων κατάθεση γραπτής συνολικής πρότασης, η οποία θα περιλαμβάνει τις θέσεις του Υπουργείου. Η έγκαιρη αποστολή της σχετικής πρότασης, θα επιτρέψει στην Οργάνωσή μας να τη μελετήσει υπεύθυνα και να προσέλθει στη συνάντηση κατάλληλα προετοιμασμένη, ώστε ο διάλογος να είναι ουσιαστικός και να συμβάλει εποικοδομητικά στη συζήτηση, για ένα ζήτημα μείζονος σημασίας για τη Δημόσια Εκπαίδευση. Αυτό καταγράφεται και στο τελευταίο ομόφωνο ψήφισμα του Παγκύπριου Συμβουλίου Γενικών Αντιπροσώπων της ΠΟΕΔ, το οποίο και σας επισυνάπτουμε.
Ως εκ τούτου, παρακαλούμε όπως μας κοινοποιηθεί εκ των προτέρων η σχετική πρόταση, ώστε να καταστεί δυνατή η συμμετοχή της ΠΟΕΔ στη συνάντηση. Σε περίπτωση που αυτό δεν είναι δυνατόν να γίνει μέχρι τις 17 Ιουλίου 2026, παρακαλούμε όπως επανακαθοριστεί η συνάντηση, αφού το ΥΠΑΝ μάς κοινοποιήσει τη συνολική του πρόταση».
POED Requests the Ministry of Education’s Proposal on the Teacher Appointment System in Writing from Minister Michaelidou
So that POED can participate meaningfully in the meeting
In a letter sent today to the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, the POED (Cyprus Greek Teachers’ Organisation) requests that, prior to the start of the dialogue on the teacher appointment system, it be provided with the Ministry’s comprehensive proposal in writing, including the Ministry’s official positions.
The letter states: “With reference to the above matter, and following the invitation we received from your office to attend a meeting on 17 July 2026 regarding the Teacher Appointment System, we would first like to reiterate the Organisation’s position in favour of maintaining the current recruitment and permanent appointment process through the Appointees and Eligible Candidates Lists beyond 2027, under the existing practice currently in force (50%–50%). We also reiterate our position in favour of substantially addressing the distortions that have emerged from the implementation of the New Teacher Appointment System, based on the fundamental principle that teachers currently serving in the public education system should not become victims of the reform. At the same time, POED remains firmly committed to institutionalised and meaningful social dialogue and, as such, is ready to respond positively to invitations that promote substantive and constructive discussions. However, we consider it a self-evident prerequisite for holding a meaningful and productive meeting that a comprehensive written proposal setting out the Ministry’s positions be submitted in advance. The timely delivery of the proposal will allow our Organisation to study it responsibly and attend the meeting adequately prepared, ensuring that the dialogue is substantive and contributes constructively to the discussion of an issue of major importance for public education. This position is also reflected in the latest unanimous resolution adopted by the Pancyprian Council of General Representatives of POED, which we are attaching for your reference. We therefore request that the relevant proposal be communicated to us in advance so that POED can participate in the meeting. Should this not be possible before 17 July 2026, we kindly request that the meeting be rescheduled after the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth has communicated its comprehensive proposal to us.”
