Σημαντική οικιστική και τουριστική ανάπτυξη καταγράφεται στα Δημοτικά Διαμερίσματα Λιβάδια, Ορόκλινη και Πύλα, σύμφωνα με δηλώσεις που είχε κάνει πριν από λίγους μήνες στο ΚΥΠΕ ο Πρόεδρος του Επαρχιακού Οργανισμού Αυτοδιοίκησης Λάρνακας, κ. Άγγελος Χατζηχαραλάμπους.
Όπως ανέφερε, οι αδειοδοτήσεις για αναπτύξεις παρουσιάζουν φέτος σημαντική αύξηση σε σύγκριση με την περσινή χρονιά, σχεδόν διπλάσια. «Είναι γεγονός ότι η Ορόκλινη, τα Λιβάδια και η Πύλα αποτελούν περιοχές στις οποίες παρατηρείται έντονη αναπτυξιακή δραστηριότητα. Η ροή των νέων αιτήσεων για αδειοδότηση κατοικιών, ξενοδοχείων και οικιστικών συγκροτημάτων είναι πέραν της διπλάσιας σε σχέση με πέρσι», ανέφερε χαρακτηριστικά.
Ο κ. Χατζηχαραλάμπους σημείωσε ότι ο ΕΟΑ Λάρνακας έχει ήδη λάβει σοβαρά υπόψη τη συγκεκριμένη τάση, ενισχύοντας τα αρμόδια κλιμάκια στις περιοχές αυτές, με στόχο την ταχύτερη και αποτελεσματικότερη εξυπηρέτηση της αυξημένης ζήτησης.
Παράλληλα, εξέφρασε την εκτίμηση ότι η αναπτυξιακή πορεία στις τρεις περιοχές δεν θα είναι παροδική, αλλά θα συνεχιστεί και τα επόμενα χρόνια, επισημαίνοντας ότι έχουν ήδη ληφθεί τα απαραίτητα μέτρα για την ανταπόκριση στις αυξημένες ανάγκες.
Σε σχέση με το είδος των αιτήσεων, ο ίδιος ανέφερε ότι αυτές αφορούν οικιστικές και τουριστικές αναπτύξεις, συγκροτήματα γραφείων, καθώς και διαχωρισμούς οικοπέδων. Παράλληλα, εξέφρασε την προσδοκία ότι στο μέλλον θα προχωρήσουν και πιο εξειδικευμένες αναπτύξεις, όπως μικρά νοσηλευτικά ιδρύματα και ιατρικά κέντρα.
Την ίδια ώρα, τοπικοί παράγοντες επισημαίνουν ότι τα Λιβάδια αναπτύσσονται δυναμικά όχι μόνο με νέες οικιστικές μονάδες, επιχειρήσεις και επενδύσεις, αλλά και μέσα από έργα (δρόμοι, πάρκα, κ.α) που υλοποιούνται από τον Αντιδήμαρχο Μάριο Αρμένη και δημοτικούς συμβούλους Λιβαδιών σε συνεργασία πάντοτε με τον Δήμο Λάρνακας.
Σύμφωνα με τις ίδιες εκτιμήσεις, η περιοχή των Λιβαδιών θεωρείται ιδιαίτερα υποσχόμενη, με προοπτική για ακόμη πιο έντονη αναπτυξιακή δραστηριότητα τα επόμενα χρόνια.
Strong development momentum in Livadia and surrounding areas

Significant residential and tourism development is being recorded in the municipal districts of Livadia, Oroklini and Pyla, according to statements made a few months ago to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) by the President of the Larnaca District Local Government Organisation, Mr. Angelos Hadjicharalambous.
As he noted, development permits this year show a significant increase compared to last year, almost double. “It is a fact that Oroklini, Livadia and Pyla are areas where intense development activity is being observed. The flow of new applications for permits for housing, hotels and residential complexes is more than double compared to last year,” he said.
Mr. Hadjicharalambous pointed out that the Larnaca District Local Government Organisation has already taken this trend seriously, strengthening the relevant teams in these areas in order to respond more quickly and effectively to the increased demand.
At the same time, he expressed the view that the development trajectory in the three areas will not be temporary, but will continue in the coming years, noting that all necessary measures have already been taken to meet the rising needs.
Regarding the type of applications, he said they include residential and tourism developments, office complexes, as well as land subdivision projects. He also expressed the expectation that more specialised developments may emerge in the future, such as small medical facilities and healthcare centres.
At the same time, local stakeholders highlight that Livadia is developing dynamically not only through new residential units, businesses and investments, but also through infrastructure projects (roads, parks, etc.) implemented by Deputy Mayor Mario Armenis and the municipal councillors of Livadia, in close cooperation with the Municipality of Larnaca.
According to the same assessments, the Livadia area is considered highly promising, with prospects for even stronger development activity in the coming years.
