Η Αναστασία Μανέντζου είναι καλλιτέχνης, ζωγράφος και διδάσκαλος τέχνης. Ως καλλιτέχνης ειδικευεται στον συνδιασμό ρεαλισμού με μοντέρνα σύγχρονη τέχνη. Επίσης είναι ιδιοκτήτρια και διδάσκαλος της σχολής ζωγραφικής Lo Studio Art school στη Λάρνακα.
Για το Φεστιβάλ Γειτονιάς Προδρόμου, το Σάββατο 5 Σεπτεμβρίου, η Αναστασία ετοίμασε μια όμορφη δραστηριότητα για να υλοποιήσουν τα παιδιά, οι μικροί επισκέπτες του φεστιβάλ, κάτοικοι και όχι μόνο του Προδρόμου.
Σε δηλώσεις της στο SkalaTimes η Αναστασία ανέφερε: “Οι δρόμοι που περπατάμε καθημερινά, τα πάρκα όπου παίζουμε, τα μπαλκόνια με τις γλάστρες και τα φιλόξενα παράθυρα των γειτόνων μας δεν είναι απλώς τσιμέντο και τούβλα.
Για τα παιδιά, η γειτονιά είναι ένας ζωντανός καμβάς γεμάτος αναμνήσεις, χρώματα και φαντασία. Στο φετινό φεστιβάλ της γειτονιάς μας, προσκαλούμε τους μικρούς μας φίλους σε ένα ξεχωριστό εικαστικό εργαστήριο, όπου θα γίνουν οι πρωταγωνιστές και οι «αρχιτέκτονες» του δικού τους κόσμου.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της δράσης, θα καθοδηγήσω τα παιδιά να παρατηρήσουν το περιβάλλον τους με μια νέα, δημιουργική ματιά. Μέσα από σχήματα, πινέλα και ελεύθερη έκφραση, θα αποτυπώσουμε στο χαρτί την έννοια της γειτονιάς έτσι όπως την βιώνουν τα ίδια: γεμάτη παιχνίδι, ζεστασιά, ζωντάνια και συναισθήματα. Δεν ψάχνουμε την τέλεια τεχνική, αλλά την αυθεντική έκφραση. Κάθε πινελιά θα είναι μια ιστορία και κάθε σχέδιο ένα κομμάτι της συλλογικής μας ταυτότητας. Στόχος μας είναι να δημιουργήσουμε έναν χώρο όπου η τέχνη ενώνει την κοινότητα και γιορτάζει τη χαρά του να ανήκουμε μαζί κάπου.
Ελάτε να λερωθούμε με χρώματα, να γελάσουμε και να δούμε τη γειτονιά μας μέσα από την πιο αγνή οπτική, τα μάτια των παιδιών”.
Our Neighborhood Through the Eyes of Children: A Colorful Artistic Journey at the Prodromou Neighborhood Festival with Painter Anastasia Manentzou
Anastasia Manentzou is an artist, painter, and art teacher. As an artist, she specializes in combining realism with modern and contemporary art. She is also the owner and art teacher at Lo Studio Art School in Larnaca.
For the Prodromou Neighborhood Festival, taking place on Saturday, September 5, Anastasia has prepared a beautiful activity for the children — the festival’s young visitors, both residents of Prodromou and beyond.
In a statement to SkalaTimes, Anastasia said: “The streets we walk along every day, the parks where we play, the balconies filled with plants, and the welcoming windows of our neighbors are not simply concrete and bricks.
For children, the neighborhood is a living canvas filled with memories, colors, and imagination. At this year’s neighborhood festival, we are inviting our young friends to take part in a special art workshop, where they will become the protagonists and the ‘architects’ of their own world.
During the activity, I will guide the children to observe their surroundings with a fresh, creative perspective. Through shapes, brushes, and free expression, we will put on paper what the concept of ‘neighborhood’ means to them — a place filled with play, warmth, energy, and emotions.
We are not looking for perfect technique, but for authentic expression. Every brushstroke will tell a story, and every drawing will become a piece of our collective identity.
Our goal is to create a space where art brings the community together and celebrates the joy of belonging somewhere, together.
