Κρίσιμη στιγμή για τους θεσμούς και το κράτος δικαίου Ο ΓΕ και ΒΓΕ να πάνε σπίτι τους, χθες
Το Πόρισμα της Αρχής Κατά της Διαφθοράς για το «Κράτος-Μαφία» σηματοδοτεί μια κρίσιμη στιγμή για τους θεσμούς και το κράτος δικαίου στην χώρα μας. Αν το τρίγωνο Εισαγγελίας-Προεδρικού-Πινδάρου καταφέρει κι αυτή τη φορά να συγκαλύψει το σύστημα της διαπλοκής -το σύστημα Ν. Αναστασιάδη δηλαδή- δεν θα έχει μείνει τίποτα όρθιο.
– Ο Γενικός Εισαγγελέας και ο Βοηθός Γενικός Εισαγγελέας πρέπει να πάνε σπίτι τους, χθες! Ενόσω βρίσκονται στις θέσεις τους, δεν μπορεί να υπάρξει αντικειμενική και αδιάβλητη διερεύνηση αφού σύμφωνα με το Σύνταγμα, οποιουδήποτε είδους ποινική διερεύνηση θα καταλήξει στην κρίση του Γενικού Εισαγγελέα. Είναι προσβολή της νοημοσύνης των πολιτών να μας λένε ότι θα ελέγξουν τον Αναστασιάδη, δύο δεκανίκια του Αναστασιάδη.
– Η ηγεσία του ΔΗΣΥ ας συναισθανθεί πόσο ντροπιαστικό είναι να συνεχίζει να συγκαλύπτει τον Νίκο Αναστασιάδη και το σύστημά του. Προφανώς, το κάνουν επειδή και ως κόμμα είναι μέρος αυτούς του συστήματος. Άλλωστε ο Ν. Αναστασιάδης ελέγχεται για ποινικά αδικήματα που τελέστηκαν όταν ήταν βουλευτής του ΔΗΣΥ, ηγέτης του ΔΗΣΥ και Πρόεδρος της κυβέρνησης του ΔΗΣΥ. Για αυτό επιμένει η Πινδάρου να παραμείνουν στη θέση τους ο ΓΕ και ο ΒΓΕ. Μόνο έτσι θα καλυφθεί ο Αναστασιάδης και οι ίδιοι. Η κα Δημητρίου ας απαντήσει στους πολίτες αν είναι ακόμα περήφανη για τον Επίτιμο Πρόεδρο του κόμματός της κι αν θα τον ξαναβγάλει στις εξέδρες να τον καμαρώνει;
– Ο δε Νίκος Χριστοδουλίδης ας επιτέλους αντιληφθεί ότι το σύστημα που αποκαλύπτεται στο Πόρισμα αφορά την κυβέρνηση της οποίας ήταν βασικό στέλεχος, αφορά τον πολιτικό του μέντορα, αυτόν που τον εγκατέστησε στο Προεδρικό.
Κάθε πολίτης αυτού του τόπου, οπουδήποτε κι αν ανήκει πολιτικά ή ακόμα κι αν δεν ανήκει πουθενά, πρέπει να υψώσει τη φωνή του. Η ατιμωρησία, η συγκάλυψη και το θράσος αυτού του συστήματος πρέπει να σπάσει. Το ΑΚΕΛ σε αυτό τον δρόμο θα συνεχίσει αποφασιστικά κι ανυποχώρητα.

The report of the Anti-Corruption Authority on the “Mafia State” marks a critical moment for the institutions and the rule of law in our country. If the triangle of the Attorney General’s Office–Presidential Palace–Pindarou manages once again to cover up the system of corruption — that is, the system of Nicos Anastasiades — then nothing will remain standing.
- The Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General must go home, yesterday! As long as they remain in their positions, there can be no objective and unimpeachable investigation, since according to the Constitution, any form of criminal investigation will ultimately fall under the judgment of the Attorney General. It is an insult to the intelligence of the citizens to be told that they will investigate Anastasiades, when they are two props of Anastasiades.
- The leadership of DISY should reflect on how shameful it is to continue covering up Nicos Anastasiades and his system. Obviously, they do so because the party itself is part of this system. After all, Mr. Anastasiades is being investigated for criminal offences committed while he was a member of parliament for DISY, leader of DISY, and President of a DISY government. That is why Pindarou insists that the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General remain in their posts. Only in this way will Anastasiades — and they themselves — be protected. Ms. Demetriou should answer citizens as to whether she is still proud of her party’s Honorary President, and whether she would once again bring him onto podiums to be celebrated.
- As for Nicos Christodoulides, he should finally realise that the system revealed in the report concerns the government of which he was a key member, and concerns his political mentor — the one who placed him in the Presidential Palace.
Every citizen of this country, regardless of political affiliation or even if they have none, must raise their voice. The impunity, the cover-up, and the arrogance of this system must be broken. AKEL will continue on this path decisively and unwaveringly.
