Εκπρόσωποι της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής επισκέφθηκαν τη Λάρνακα στο πλαίσιο της Ετήσιας Συνάντησης Επισκόπησης του Προγράμματος «ΘΑλΕΙΑ 2021–2027», έχοντας την ευκαιρία να διαπιστώσουν από κοντά την πρόοδο υλοποίησης σημαντικών συγχρηματοδοτούμενων έργων στην πόλη μας.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της επίσκεψής τους ξεναγήθηκαν στο νέο Πολυλειτουργικό Πάρκο στην περιοχή Τσιακκιλερού και στο νέο Δημοτικό Μέλαθρο Ευγηρίας, δύο σημαντικές υποδομές που αναβαθμίζουν την ποιότητα ζωής των δημοτών και ενισχύουν την κοινωνική συνοχή.
Οι επιτόπιες επισκέψεις ανέδειξαν έμπρακτα τον αντίκτυπο των έργων που υλοποιούνται μέσω του Προγράμματος «ΘΑλΕΙΑ 2021–2027», τα οποία συμβάλλουν στην προώθηση της έρευνας και της καινοτομίας, στην ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής συνοχής και στη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, δημιουργώντας ουσιαστικά και διαχρονικά οφέλη για τους δημότες και την τοπική κοινωνία.
European Commission Representatives Visit Larnaca
Representatives of the European Commission visited Larnaca as part of the Annual Review Meeting of the “THALEIA 2021–2027” Programme, gaining first-hand insight into the progress of major EU co-funded projects being implemented in the city.
During their visit, they toured the new Multi-Purpose Park in the Tsiakkilero area and the new Municipal Residential Care Home for the Elderly, two significant public infrastructure projects that enhance residents’ quality of life and strengthen social cohesion.
The site visits clearly demonstrated the tangible impact of projects funded through the “THALEIA 2021–2027” Programme, which contribute to the promotion of research and innovation, reinforce social cohesion, and support sustainable development, creating meaningful and lasting benefits for local residents and the wider community.
