Μεγαλωμένη στη Γαλλία και πλέον μόνιμα εγκατεστημένη στην Κύπρο, παντρεμένη με Κύπριο, η νομικός Λουίζα Φελλά μας παρουσιάζει μέσα από τη συνέντευξή της στο SkalaTimes έναν χώρο στα Περβόλια που δεν έχει ως μοναδικό σκοπό να γίνει αγαπημένη επιλογή για γάμους, βαφτίσεις, εταιρικές εκδηλώσεις και άλλες συνάξεις, αλλά φιλοδοξεί να γράψει τη δική του ιστορία και στην πολιτιστική ζωή του τόπου.

Ο χώρος Santa Irini είναι μία από τις καλύτερες επιλογές για ανθρώπους που αναζητούν έναν ξεχωριστό χώρο στην επαρχία Λάρνακας. Πώς θα περιγράφατε τη φιλοσοφία πίσω από τη δημιουργία αυτού του χώρου και τι είναι αυτό που τον κάνει να ξεχωρίζει;
Ο χώρος Santa Irini δημιουργήθηκε πάνω σε μία βασική ιδέα: τον σεβασμό. Σεβασμό στην κληρονομιά της Κύπρου, στο περιβάλλον και, πάνω απ’ όλα, στους ανθρώπους — στον χρόνο τους, στις προτεραιότητές τους και στις σημαντικές στιγμές που τους φέρνουν κοντά.
Ένας χώρος εκδηλώσεων, κατά τη γνώμη μου, δεν πρέπει ποτέ να αποτελεί το επίκεντρο της προσοχής. Ο ρόλος του είναι να δημιουργεί το κατάλληλο σκηνικό για αυτό που πραγματικά έχει σημασία, ώστε οι άνθρωποι να νιώθουν άνετα, συνδεδεμένοι και ελεύθεροι να απολαύσουν τον λόγο για τον οποίο συγκεντρώθηκαν εξαρχής. Εμπνευσμένο από την κυπριακή κληρονομιά και τη μεσογειακή αισθητική, το Santa Irini σχεδιάστηκε με στόχο να διατηρήσει τον χαρακτήρα του τόπου και να αντανακλά το πνεύμα της Κύπρου μέσα από μία ήρεμη, διακριτική κομψότητα. Πιστεύω πως αυτό είναι που προσελκύει ανθρώπους οι οποίοι εκτιμούν την αυθεντικότητα και τη ζεστασιά μιας πιο προσωπικής γιορτής, περισσότερο από οτιδήποτε υπερβολικό ή εντυπωσιακό.
Ποιο ήταν το όραμα πίσω από το Santa Irini και τι σας ενέπνευσε να δημιουργήσετε έναν χώρο που μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει ένα τόσο ευρύ φάσμα εκδηλώσεων;
Το Santa Irini με βρήκε περισσότερο απ’ ό,τι την βρήκα εγώ. Η δημιουργία ενός χώρου εκδηλώσεων δεν ήταν ποτέ μέρος του αρχικού μου σχεδίου και το επαγγελματικό μου υπόβαθρο δεν σχετίζεται με τον τομέα της φιλοξενίας — κάτι που, εκ των υστέρων, αποδείχθηκε πλεονέκτημα. Δεν προσπαθούσα να ακολουθήσω τις τάσεις της αγοράς ή να αναπαράγω κάτι που ήταν ήδη δημοφιλές. Επικεντρώθηκα στον ίδιο τον χώρο: στην ψυχή του, στην ιστορία του και στο πώς θα μπορούσε να γίνει φιλόξενος χωρίς να χάσει αυτό που τον έκανε αυθεντικό.
Τα χρόνια που πέρασα στη Γαλλία διαμόρφωσαν τον τρόπο με τον οποίο αντιλαμβάνομαι τη διαχρονική κομψότητα — τη διακριτική ομορφιά χώρων που δεν προσπαθούν υπερβολικά να είναι κάτι διαφορετικό από αυτό που πραγματικά είναι. Η σύνδεση αυτής της αισθητικής με την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της Κύπρου αποτέλεσε τη βάση για τη δημιουργία του Santa Irini.
Ακόμη και το όνομα του χωριού αποτέλεσε μέρος της έμπνευσης. Προέρχεται από τη μακρά ιστορία της περιοχής με τους οπωρώνες και τους καλλιεργημένους κήπους. Μου αρέσει να σκέφτομαι το Santa Irini με τον ίδιο τρόπο — ως έναν χώρο όπου σημαντικές στιγμές μπορούν να ριζώσουν και να ανθίσουν.
Από γάμους και βαπτίσεις μέχρι εταιρικές εκδηλώσεις και ιδιωτικές γιορτές, το Santa Irini υποδέχεται πολλούς διαφορετικούς τύπους περιστάσεων. Πώς διασφαλίζετε ότι κάθε εκδήλωση είναι μοναδική και προσωπικά προσαρμοσμένη;
Το Santa Irini φιλοξενεί ένα ευρύ φάσμα εκδηλώσεων — ιδιαίτερα γάμους και βαπτίσεις, λόγω και της τοποθεσίας της ακριβώς απέναντι από την εκκλησία του χωριού, καθώς επίσης εταιρικές εκδηλώσεις, ιδιωτικές συγκεντρώσεις και πολιτιστικές δράσεις.
Η εξατομίκευση ξεκινά με την ακρόαση. Πριν από οτιδήποτε άλλο, θέλουμε να κατανοήσουμε τι έχει σημασία για τους πελάτες μας: τις προτεραιότητές τους, το όραμά τους και την ατμόσφαιρα που επιθυμούν να δημιουργήσουν. Από εκεί και πέρα, προσφέρουμε έναν χώρο που είναι ήδη προσεκτικά σχεδιασμένος και εξοπλισμένος, ενώ για όσους επιθυμούν περισσότερη υποστήριξη μπορούμε να τους συνδέσουμε με έναν αξιόπιστο κύκλο τοπικών επαγγελματιών — μουσικούς, συνεργάτες catering, ανθοδέτες και φωτογράφους — των οποίων η δουλειά βοηθά να υλοποιηθεί ένα συγκεκριμένο όραμα. Ο στόχος μας είναι πάντα η εκδήλωση να αντικατοπτρίζει τους ανθρώπους που βρίσκονται στο επίκεντρό της, διατηρώντας παράλληλα το πνεύμα του χώρου μας.
Ποια είναι τα βασικά στοιχεία που κάνουν μία επιτυχημένη εκδήλωση αξέχαστη για τους καλεσμένους και πώς συμβάλλει η ομάδα σας στη δημιουργία αυτής της ξεχωριστής εμπειρίας;
Για μένα, μία επιτυχημένη εκδήλωση βασίζεται σε κάτι απλό: οι άνθρωποι να φεύγουν νιώθοντας ότι ο χρόνος τους άξιζε. Ο χρόνος είναι το πιο πολύτιμο αγαθό μας και, επειδή είναι περιορισμένος, ο τρόπος με τον οποίο τον αξιοποιούμε έχει μεγαλύτερη σημασία από σχεδόν οτιδήποτε άλλο. Οι γιορτές που μένουν στη μνήμη μας δεν είναι απαραίτητα μόνο εκείνες που φαίνονται όμορφες στις φωτογραφίες — είναι εκείνες που αφήνουν κάτι πίσω τους. Ο δικός μας ρόλος είναι να το κάνουμε αυτό δυνατό, φροντίζοντας τα πάντα διακριτικά, πίσω από τα παρασκήνια, ώστε οι πελάτες μας να μπορούν να είναι πραγματικά παρόντες με τους ανθρώπους που έχουν σημασία για εκείνους. Πάντα πίστευα ότι η καλύτερη φιλοξενία είναι αυτή που δεν γίνεται αντιληπτή — όταν όλα λειτουργούν ομαλά, οι καλεσμένοι δεν βλέπουν την προετοιμασία που έκανε την εμπειρία να φαίνεται αβίαστη. Αν οι άνθρωποι φύγουν κρατώντας κάτι μέσα τους μετά το τέλος της ημέρας, τότε έχουμε κάνει σωστά τη δουλειά μας.
Ένα από τα πλεονεκτήματα του Santa Irini είναι η ευελιξία της, καθώς μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει τόσο μικρότερες συγκεντρώσεις όσο και μεγαλύτερες εκδηλώσεις. Μπορείτε να μας μιλήσετε περισσότερο για τις δυνατότητες που προσφέρει ο χώρος;
Η ευελιξία ήταν μέρος του σχεδιασμού από την αρχή, γιατί οι άνθρωποι γιορτάζουν — και δραστηριοποιούνται επαγγελματικά — με πολύ διαφορετικούς τρόπους, ενώ κάθε εκδήλωση έχει τις δικές της προτεραιότητες και τον δικό της προϋπολογισμό.
Είτε πρόκειται για μία μικρή οικογενειακή συγκέντρωση, έναν γάμο, μία εταιρική εκδήλωση ή ένα εργαστήριο, συνεργαζόμαστε με τους πελάτες μας ώστε να βρούμε αυτό που πραγματικά ταιριάζει στις ανάγκες τους, αντί να επιβάλλουμε μία συγκεκριμένη μορφή. Για μένα, αυτού του είδους η ευελιξία αποτελεί μία ακόμη μορφή σεβασμού: αναγνωρίζοντας ότι κανένας πελάτης δεν είναι ίδιος με τον άλλο και προσαρμοζόμενοι στις δικές του ανάγκες.
Η επιλογή του χώρου είναι μία από τις σημαντικότερες αποφάσεις όταν σχεδιάζεται μία εκδήλωση. Τι θα πρέπει να λαμβάνουν υπόψη οι άνθρωποι όταν επιλέγουν το κατάλληλο μέρος για τη δική τους ξεχωριστή περίσταση;
Η επιλογή του χώρου είναι μία προσωπική απόφαση και έτσι πρέπει να είναι — κάθε γιορτή έχει τη δική της σημασία. Προσωπικά θα αναζητούσα την ισορροπία ανάμεσα στην πρακτικότητα, την αισθητική και στο πώς πραγματικά αισθάνεσαι μέσα σε έναν χώρο. Πρέπει να σου δημιουργεί το σωστό συναίσθημα από τη στιγμή που θα μπεις και να μπορείς να φανταστείς την ημέρα που θέλεις να δημιουργήσεις εκεί, μαζί με τους ανθρώπους που έχουν τη μεγαλύτερη σημασία για σένα. Όταν το μυαλό και η καρδιά συμφωνούν, τότε πιθανότατα έχεις βρει το σωστό μέρος.
Το Santa Irini βρίσκεται στην Περβόλια, μία όμορφη περιοχή κοντά στη Λάρνακα. Πώς προσθέτει η τοποθεσία αξία στη συνολική εμπειρία των επισκεπτών σας;
Μεγάλο μέρος του χαρακτήρα του χώρου μας προέρχεται άμεσα από το σημείο όπου βρίσκεται. Απέχουμε μόλις δεκαπέντε λεπτά από τη Λάρνακα, όμως η άφιξη στα Περβόλια μοιάζει σαν να μπαίνεις σε έναν διαφορετικό ρυθμό — πιο αργό, πιο ήσυχο και πιο κοντά στις κυπριακές παραδόσεις. Τα Περβόλια έχουν διατηρήσει την ταυτότητά τους ως ένα ζωντανό χωριό, με τη δική της ιστορία και έντονο το αίσθημα της κοινότητας, και αυτός ο χαρακτήρας γίνεται φυσικά μέρος κάθε εκδήλωσης που πραγματοποιείται εδώ. Ο χώρος διαμορφώνει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι άνθρωποι βιώνουν μία γιορτή — όταν το περιβάλλον αποπνέει ηρεμία, οι καλεσμένοι χαλαρώνουν και αυτοί και απλώς απολαμβάνουν το να βρίσκονται μαζί.
Πολλοί άνθρωποι σήμερα αναζητούν ποιότητα και κομψότητα, έχοντας παράλληλα στο μυαλό τους τον προϋπολογισμό τους. Πώς ισορροπείτε ανάμεσα στην εξαιρετική εξυπηρέτηση, το όμορφο περιβάλλον και τις προσιτές επιλογές;
Έχουμε επιλέξει να επενδύσουμε στον ίδιο τον χώρο, ώστε πολλά από τα στοιχεία για τα οποία οι πελάτες συνήθως θα πλήρωναν επιπλέον να περιλαμβάνονται ήδη.
Αλλά, ειλικρινά, δεν πιστεύω ότι το πραγματικό ερώτημα είναι πώς ισορροπεί κανείς ανάμεσα στην ποιότητα, την ομορφιά και την προσιτή τιμή. Το σημαντικό είναι να μάθουμε να ξεχωρίζουμε τι προσθέτει πραγματική αξία και τι απλώς αυξάνει το κόστος. Συχνά μας λένε ότι μία γιορτή χρειάζεται περισσότερα — περισσότερα λουλούδια, περισσότερη διακόσμηση, περισσότερα έξοδα — και δεν είμαι βέβαιη ότι αυτό ισχύει. Ο καλός σχεδιασμός αφορά συχνά το να γνωρίζεις τι πρέπει να αφήσεις εκτός. Όταν ένας χώρος έχει δημιουργηθεί με φροντίδα, είναι οι άνθρωποι και όχι τα επιπλέον στοιχεία που βρίσκονται τελικά στο κέντρο της γιορτής. Η κομψότητα σπάνια προέρχεται από την υπερβολή. Προέρχεται από το να γνωρίζεις τι είναι αρκετό.
Κοιτώντας μπροστά, ποιοι είναι οι στόχοι και τα σχέδιά σας για το Santa Irini; Πώς ελπίζετε να συνεχίσετε να εξελίσσετε τον χώρο και να δημιουργείτε αξέχαστες στιγμές για τους επισκέπτες σας;
Ποτέ δεν είδα το Santa Irini απλώς ως έναν χώρο εκδηλώσεων. Κοιτώντας το μέλλον, θα ήθελα να φιλοξενεί εκθέσεις τέχνης, πολιτιστικές βραδιές, παρουσιάσεις βιβλίων και εργαστήρια — εκδηλώσεις έμπνευσης και νέες ιδέες, όχι μόνο για γιορτές.
Αν, με την πάροδο του χρόνου, ο κόσμος γνωρίσει τη Santa Irini όχι μόνο για τους γάμους και τις συγκεντρώσεις που φιλοξενεί, αλλά και ως ένα αυθεντικό πολιτιστικό σημείο αναφοράς στην Περβόλια, τότε θα νιώσω ότι έχουμε δημιουργήσει κάτι που πραγματικά άξιζε να δημιουργηθεί.
Raised in France and now permanently settled in Cyprus, married to a Cypriot, lawyer Louiza Fella presents, through her interview with SkalaTimes, a venue in Pervolia that does not aim solely to become a favourite choice for weddings, christenings, corporate events and other gatherings, but also aspires to write its own story in the cultural life of the area.
“If, over time, people come to know Santa Irini not only for the weddings and gatherings it hosts, but also as a genuine cultural point of reference in Pervolia, then I will feel that we have created something truly worth creating,” Louiza emphasizes.

Santa Irini is one of the best choices for people looking for a special venue in the Larnaca district. How would you describe the philosophy behind the creation of this space and what makes it stand out?
Santa Irini was built on one idea: respect. Respect for the heritage of Cyprus, for the environment, and most of all for people — for their time, their priorities, and the milestones that bring them together.
A venue, I think, should never be the main attraction. Its job is to set the scene for what actually matters, so people feel comfortable, connected, and free to enjoy why they’ve come together in the first place.
Inspired by Cypriot heritage and Mediterranean aesthetics, Santa Irini was designed to protect the character of the place and reflect the spirit of Cyprus through a quiet, understated elegance. That’s what I think draws people who value authenticity and the warmth of an intimate celebration over anything flashier.
What was the vision behind Santa Irini, and what inspired you to create a venue that can host such a wide range of events?
Santa Irini found me more than I found it. Building an event venue was never part of my plan, and my background has nothing to do with hospitality — which, looking back, turned out to be an advantage. I wasn’t chasing industry trends or trying to recreate what was already popular. I was focused on the place itself: its soul, its story, and how to make it feel welcoming without losing what made it true to itself.
My years in France shaped the way I think about timeless elegance — the quiet beauty of places that don’t try too hard to be anything other than what they are. Bringing that sensibility together with Cyprus’s own heritage became the foundation for Santa Irini.
The village name itself was part of the inspiration. It comes from the area’s long history of orchards and cultivated gardens. I like to think of Santa Irini the same way — a place where meaningful moments can take root and grow.
From weddings and christenings to corporate events and private celebrations, Santa Irini welcomes many different types of occasions. How do you ensure that every event feels unique and personalized?
Santa Irini hosts a wide range of celebrations — weddings and christenings especially, given its location directly opposite the village church, alongside corporate events, private gatherings, and cultural occasions.
Personalization starts with listening. Before anything else, we want to understand what matters to our clients: their priorities, their vision, the atmosphere they’re hoping to create.
From there, we offer a venue that’s already thoughtfully designed and equipped, and for clients who want more hands-on support, we can connect them with a trusted circle of local professionals — musicians, caterers, florists, photographers — whose work helps bring a specific vision to life. The goal, always, is for the event to feel like the people at its center, while still carrying the spirit of Santa Irini.
What are the key elements that make a successful event memorable for guests, and how does your team contribute to creating that special experience?
For me, a successful event comes down to something simple: people leaving feeling that their time was well spent. Time is our most precious resource, and because it is limited, how we spend it matters more than almost anything else. The celebrations that stay with us are rarely just the ones that photograph well — they’re the ones that leave something behind.
Our job is to make that possible by handling everything quietly, behind the scenes, so our clients can be fully present with the people who matter to them. I’ve always believed the best hospitality is invisible — when things run smoothly, guests don’t notice the preparation that made it feel effortless. If people walk away carrying something with them after the day ends, we’ve done our job.
One of the advantages of Santa Irini is its flexibility, being able to accommodate both smaller gatherings and larger celebrations. Can you tell us more about the possibilities the venue offers?
Flexibility was part of the plan from the start, because people celebrate — and do business — in very different ways, and every event arrives with its own priorities and budget.
Whether it’s an intimate family gathering, a wedding, a corporate event or a workshop, we work with clients to find what genuinely fits their situation rather than pushing a single format. To me, that kind of flexibility is really another form of respect: recognizing that no two clients operate the same way, and meeting them where they are.
The choice of venue is one of the most important decisions when planning an event. What should people consider when selecting the right place for their special occasion?
Choosing a venue is a personal decision, and it should be — every celebration carries its own meaning. I’d look for the balance between practicality, aesthetics, and how the place actually feels to you. It should feel right the moment you walk in, and let you picture the day you’re hoping to create there, with the people who matter most standing beside you. When your head and your heart agree, you’ve probably found it.
Santa Irini is located in Pervolia, a beautiful area near Larnaca. How does the location add value to the overall experience of your guests?
Much of Santa Irini’s character comes directly from where it sits. We’re only fifteen minutes from Larnaca, but arriving in Pervolia feels like stepping into a different rhythm — slower, quieter, closer to Cyprus’s traditions.
Pervolia has kept its identity as a living village, with its own history and a strong sense of community, and that character naturally becomes part of every event held here. A place shapes how people experience a celebration — when the setting feels calm, guests slow down too, and simply enjoy being together.
Many people today are looking for quality and elegance while also keeping their budget in mind. How do you balance excellent service, beautiful surroundings and affordable options?
We’ve chosen to invest in the venue itself, so many of the elements clients would otherwise pay for as extras are already built in.
But honestly, I don’t think the real question is how to balance quality, beauty, and affordability. It’s learning to tell the difference between what adds value and what just adds cost. We’re constantly told that a celebration needs more — more flowers, more decoration, more spending — and I’m not convinced that’s true. Good design is often about knowing what to leave out. When a space is created with care, it’s the people, not the extras, who end up at the center of the celebration. Elegance rarely comes from having more. It comes from knowing what’s enough.
Looking ahead, what are your goals and plans for Santa Irini? How do you hope to continue developing the venue and creating unforgettable moments for your guests?
I’ve never seen Santa Irini as only an event venue. Looking ahead, I’d love for it to host art exhibitions, cultural evenings, book presentations and workshops — spaces for curiosity and new ideas, not just celebration.
If, over time, people come to know Santa Irini not only for the weddings and gatherings it hosts, but as a genuine cultural home in Pervolia, I’ll feel we’ve built something worth building.

À mon sens, un lieu d’événement ne devrait jamais être l’attraction principale. Son rôle est de créer le cadre idéal pour ce qui compte réellement, afin que les gens se sentent à l’aise, connectés et libres de profiter pleinement de la raison pour laquelle ils se sont réunis.
Inspirée par le patrimoine chypriote et l’esthétique méditerranéenne, Santa Irini a été conçue pour préserver le caractère du lieu et refléter l’esprit de Chypre à travers une élégance discrète et intemporelle. Je pense que c’est précisément ce qui attire les personnes qui recherchent l’authenticité et la chaleur d’une célébration intime plutôt qu’un cadre plus ostentatoire.
Quelle était la vision derrière Santa Irini et qu’est-ce qui vous a inspirée à créer un lieu capable d’accueillir une aussi grande diversité d’événements ?
Santa Irini m’a trouvée plus que je ne l’ai trouvée. La création d’un lieu événementiel n’a jamais fait partie de mon projet initial, et mon parcours professionnel n’a rien à voir avec l’hospitalité — ce qui, avec le recul, s’est révélé être un avantage. Je ne cherchais pas à suivre les tendances du secteur ni à reproduire ce qui était déjà populaire. Je me suis concentrée sur le lieu lui-même : son âme, son histoire et la manière de le rendre accueillant sans perdre ce qui faisait son authenticité.
Mes années passées en France ont façonné ma vision de l’élégance intemporelle — cette beauté discrète des lieux qui n’essaient pas d’être autre chose que ce qu’ils sont réellement. Réunir cette sensibilité avec le patrimoine propre à Chypre est devenu le fondement de Santa Irini.
Le nom même du village a également participé à l’inspiration. Il trouve son origine dans la longue histoire de la région, marquée par ses vergers et ses jardins cultivés. J’aime penser à Santa Irini de la même manière : un lieu où les moments précieux peuvent prendre racine et grandir.
Des mariages et baptêmes aux événements d’entreprise et aux célébrations privées, Santa Irini accueille de nombreuses occasions différentes. Comment veillez-vous à ce que chaque événement soit unique et personnalisé ?
Santa Irini accueille une grande variété de célébrations — notamment les mariages et les baptêmes, grâce à sa situation juste en face de l’église du village, mais également des événements d’entreprise, des rassemblements privés et des événements culturels.
La personnalisation commence par l’écoute. Avant toute chose, nous souhaitons comprendre ce qui compte pour nos clients : leurs priorités, leur vision et l’atmosphère qu’ils souhaitent créer.
À partir de là, nous proposons un lieu déjà soigneusement conçu et équipé. Le temps est notre ressource la plus précieuse et, parce qu’il est limité, la manière dont nous le consacrons compte plus que presque tout le reste. Les célébrations qui restent gravées dans nos mémoires ne sont pas forcément celles qui sont uniquement belles en photographie — ce sont celles qui laissent une empreinte.
Notre rôle est de rendre cela possible en prenant soin de chaque détail discrètement, en coulisses, afin que nos clients puissent être pleinement présents avec les personnes qui comptent pour eux. J’ai toujours pensé que la meilleure hospitalité est celle qui reste invisible : lorsque tout fonctionne parfaitement, les invités ne remarquent pas toute la préparation qui a permis de créer cette impression de simplicité. Si les gens repartent avec quelque chose de précieux après cette journée, alors nous avons accompli notre mission.

La flexibilité faisait partie du projet dès le départ, car les personnes célèbrent — et travaillent — de manière très différente, et chaque événement possède ses propres priorités et son propre budget.
Qu’il s’agisse d’une réunion familiale intime, d’un mariage, d’un événement d’entreprise ou d’un atelier, nous travaillons avec nos clients afin de trouver ce qui correspond réellement à leurs besoins plutôt que d’imposer un format unique. Le choix d’un lieu est une décision personnelle, et il doit l’être — chaque célébration possède sa propre signification. Je rechercherais un équilibre entre la praticité, l’esthétique et surtout la manière dont le lieu vous fait ressentir les choses. Il doit vous sembler juste dès le premier instant où vous y entrez et vous permettre d’imaginer la journée que vous souhaitez créer, entouré des personnes qui comptent le plus pour vous. Lorsque votre esprit et votre cœur sont en accord, vous avez probablement trouvé le bon endroit.
Santa Irini est située à Pervolia, une magnifique région proche de Larnaca. Comment cette localisation enrichit-elle l’expérience globale de vos invités ?
Une grande partie du caractère de Santa Irini vient directement de son emplacement. Nous sommes à seulement quinze minutes de Larnaca, mais arriver à Pervolia donne l’impression d’entrer dans un autre rythme — plus lent, plus calme et plus proche des traditions chypriotes.
Pervolia a conservé son identité de village vivant, avec sa propre histoire et un fort sentiment de communauté, et ce caractère devient naturellement partie intégrante de chaque événement organisé ici. Un lieu influence la manière dont les gens vivent une célébration — lorsque l’environnement inspire la sérénité, les invités ralentissent eux aussi et profitent simplement du plaisir d’être ensemble.
Aujourd’hui, beaucoup de personnes recherchent la qualité et l’élégance tout en tenant compte de leur budget. Comment trouvez-vous l’équilibre entre un excellent service, un cadre magnifique et des options accessibles ?
Nous avons choisi d’investir dans le lieu lui-même, de sorte que de nombreux éléments que les clients auraient autrement dû payer en supplément sont déjà intégrés.
Mais je ne pense pas que la véritable question soit de trouver un équilibre entre qualité, beauté et accessibilité. Il s’agit plutôt d’apprendre à distinguer ce qui apporte réellement de la valeur de ce qui ne fait qu’ajouter du coût. On nous répète souvent qu’une célébration nécessite davantage — plus de fleurs, plus de décoration, plus de dépenses — et je ne suis pas convaincue que cela soit toujours vrai. Un bon design consiste souvent à savoir quoi laisser de côté. Lorsqu’un espace est créé avec soin, ce sont les personnes, et non les éléments supplémentaires, qui restent au centre de la célébration. L’élégance ne vient que rarement de l’abondance. Elle vient de la capacité à reconnaître ce qui est suffisant.
À l’avenir, quels sont vos objectifs et vos projets pour Santa Irini ? Comment souhaitez-vous continuer à développer le lieu et à créer des moments inoubliables pour vos invités ?
Je n’ai jamais considéré Santa Irini comme un simple lieu événementiel. À l’avenir, j’aimerais qu’elle puisse accueillir des expositions d’art, des soirées culturelles, des présentations de livres et des ateliers — des espaces dédiés à la curiosité, aux échanges et aux nouvelles idées, et pas uniquement aux célébrations.
Si, avec le temps, les gens viennent à connaître Santa Irini non seulement pour les mariages et les rassemblements qu’elle accueille, mais aussi comme une véritable maison culturelle à Pervolia, alors je sentirai que nous avons construit quelque chose qui méritait réellement de l’être.
