Επίσημη επίσκεψη στο Γραφείο του Δημάρχου Λάρνακας κ. Ανδρέα Βύρα πραγματοποίησε την Παρασκευή, 10 Ιουλίου 2026, ο Πρέσβης της Δημοκρατίας του Καζακστάν στην Κυπριακή Δημοκρατία, κ. Νικολάι Ζουμακάνοφ, συνοδευόμενος από τον Τρίτο Γραμματέα και Πρόξενο της Πρεσβείας του Καζακστάν, κ. Ρουσλάν Αϊντάροβιτς Αϊνεκμπάεβ. Στη συνάντηση συμμετείχε επίσης ο Αντιδήμαρχος Λάρνακας, κ. Ιάσων Κ. Ιασωνίδης.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνάντησης πραγματοποιήθηκε ανταλλαγή απόψεων για θέματα κοινού ενδιαφέροντος, ενώ ο Δήμαρχος παρουσίασε τις αναπτυξιακές προοπτικές της Λάρνακας, καθώς και τα σημαντικά έργα που βρίσκονται σε εξέλιξη στην πόλη.
Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στις δυνατότητες ανάπτυξης συνεργασιών μεταξύ του Δήμου Λάρνακας και φορέων του Καζακστάν, καθώς και στην ανταλλαγή τεχνογνωσίας και καλών πρακτικών σε τομείς αμοιβαίου ενδιαφέροντος.
Νωρίτερα την ίδια ημέρα, ο Δήμαρχος Λάρνακας είχε συνάντηση με αντιπροσωπεία του Δήμου Καβάλας, κατά την οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε ανταλλαγή απόψεων και συζητήθηκαν προοπτικές συνεργασίας μεταξύ των δύο δήμων.
Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Cyprus to the Mayor of Larnaca
An official visit to the Office of the Mayor of Larnaca, Mr Andreas Vyras, was held on Friday, 10 July 2026, by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikolai Zhumakanov, accompanied by the Third Secretary and Consul of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Mr Ruslan Aidarovich Ainekbaev. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Larnaca, Mr Iason K. Iasonidis.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on issues of common interest, while the Mayor presented the development prospects of Larnaca, as well as the major projects currently underway in the city.
Particular emphasis was placed on the potential for developing collaborations between the Municipality of Larnaca and organisations in Kazakhstan, as well as on the exchange of expertise and best practices in areas of mutual interest.
Earlier on the same day, the Mayor of Larnaca held a meeting with a delegation from the Municipality of Kavala, during which views were exchanged and prospects for cooperation between the two municipalities were discussed.
