Βαθιά θλίψη σκόρπισε η είδηση του θανάτου του Αντρέα Νικολάου Ρίγκου, ο οποίος έφυγε από τη ζωή σε ηλικία 82 ετών, αφήνοντας πίσω του οικογένεια, συγγενείς και φίλους που τον αποχαιρετούν με συγκίνηση.
Ο Αντρέας Νικολάου Ρίγκου ήταν ιδιαίτερα αγαπητός στην τοπική κοινωνία, με σημαντική και πολυετή παρουσία στα κοινά. Άνθρωπος ήσυχος και σεμνός, διετέλεσε γραμματέας του ΑΚΕΛ Πάνω Λιβαδιών, ενώ είχε τιμηθεί για τα 50 χρόνια αδιάλειπτης προσφοράς και δράσης του στο κόμμα.
Ξεχωριστή θέση στη ζωή του κατείχε και ο αθλητισμός. Για σειρά ετών αγωνίστηκε στην ΑΛΚΗ και την Αναγέννηση, ενώ αργότερα συνέχισε ως παλαίμαχος στον ΑΟΛ, υπηρετώντας με αγάπη τον χώρο του ποδοσφαίρου.
Πάνω απ’ όλα, υπήρξε αφοσιωμένος οικογενειάρχης και πατέρας τριών παιδιών. Όσοι τον γνώριζαν κάνουν λόγο για έναν απλό, καλοσυνάτο και αυθεντικό άνθρωπο, ο οποίος με το ήθος, την εργατικότητα και τη σεμνότητά του άφησε το δικό του αποτύπωμα.
Ιδιαίτερη ήταν και η αγάπη του για τη θάλασσα και το ψάρεμα, με ανθρώπους που τον έζησαν από κοντά να κρατούν στη μνήμη τους εικόνες από τις αμέτρητες ώρες που περνούσε με τη βάρκα στα ανοιχτά.
Η απώλειά του αφήνει θλίψη στους οικείους του και σε όσους είχαν την ευκαιρία να τον γνωρίσουν και να συμπορευτούν μαζί του.

Deep sorrow has been caused by the news of the death of Andreas Nikolaou Rigos, who passed away at the age of 82, leaving behind family, relatives and friends who bid him farewell with deep emotion.
Andreas Nikolaou Rigos was particularly well-loved in the local community, with a significant and longstanding involvement in public and community affairs. A quiet and modest man, he served as Secretary of AKEL Pano Livadia and was honoured for 50 years of uninterrupted service and active contribution to the party.
Sport also held a special place in his life. For many years, he played for ALKI and Anagennisi, and later continued his involvement as a veteran player with AOL, serving the world of football with great love and dedication.
Above all, he was a devoted family man and the father of three children. Those who knew him describe him as a simple, kind-hearted and genuine person who, through his integrity, hard work and modesty, left his own mark on the lives of those around him.
He also had a particular love for the sea and fishing. Those who knew him well will remember the countless hours he spent out at sea in his boat, creating memories that will remain with them.
His passing leaves deep sadness among his loved ones and all those who had the opportunity to know him and share life’s journey with him.
