Η οργάνωση Ayii Anargiri of Larnaca Youth United, συντονιστής του ευρωπαϊκού έργου POWERFEM – Empowering Women through Eco-Tech Youth Innovations, διοργανωνει το Eco-Tech Hackathon, από τις 20 μέχρι τις 24 Ιουλίου 2026 στα Περβόλια Λάρνακας.
Το Eco-Tech Hackathon αποτελεί βασική εκπαιδευτική δράση του έργου POWERFEM και σηματοδοτεί τη μετάβαση από τη θεωρητική κατάρτιση στην πρακτική εφαρμογή γνώσεων και δεξιοτήτων. Οι συμμετέχουσες θα αξιοποιήσουν όσα έμαθαν στους τομείς των ψηφιακών τεχνολογιών, του STEM και της περιβαλλοντικής καινοτομίας, αναπτύσσοντας λύσεις για πραγματικές περιβαλλοντικές προκλήσεις. Στη δραστηριότητα συμμετέχουν νέες γυναίκες άνω των 18 ετών από Κύπρο, Ουγγαρία και Λιθουανία, οι οποίες θα εργαστούν σε εθνικές ομάδες με την καθοδήγηση έμπειρων μεντόρων.
Μέσα από συνεργατικές μεθόδους μάθησης και χρήση ψηφιακών εργαλείων, θα σχεδιάσουν και θα παρουσιάσουν καινοτόμες προτάσεις που αφορούν τη μείωση αποβλήτων, την καθαρή ενέργεια, την προστασία της βιοποικιλότητας και την ευαισθητοποίηση των τοπικών κοινωνιών για την κλιματική αλλαγή. Το πρόγραμμα ολοκληρώνεται με δράσεις, όπου οι ομάδες θα παρουσιάσουν τις πρωτότυπες λύσεις τους ενώπιον επιτροπής αξιολόγησης αποτελούμενης από ειδικούς του περιβάλλοντος, εκπροσώπους της τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης και επαγγελματίες της επιχειρηματικότητας.
Οι προτάσεις θα αξιολογηθούν βάσει καινοτομίας, βιωσιμότητας, λειτουργικότητας και δυνατότητας πρακτικής εφαρμογής. Μέσα από τη συμμετοχή τους στο Eco-Tech Hackathon, οι νέες αναμένεται να ενισχύσουν τις ψηφιακές και επιχειρηματικές τους δεξιότητες, να αναπτύξουν πρωτότυπα eco-tech έργα και να διευρύνουν τα διεθνή δίκτυα συνεργασίας τους. Το έργο POWERFEM – Empowering Women through Eco-Tech Youth Innovations υλοποιείται στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος Erasmus+, Δράση CY01-KA210-YOU-000352230 – Small-scale Partnerships in Youth, με τη συγχρηματοδότηση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
Pervolia, Larnaca: Women at the Forefront of the Green and Digital Transition through the Eco-Tech Hackathon
Ayii Anargiri of Larnaca Youth United, the coordinator of the European project POWERFEM – Empowering Women through Eco-Tech Youth Innovations, is organising the Eco-Tech Hackathon, which will take place from 20 to 24 July 2026 in Pervolia, Larnaca.
The Eco-Tech Hackathon is a key educational activity of the POWERFEM project and marks the transition from theoretical training to the practical application of knowledge and skills. Participants will put into practice what they have learned in the fields of digital technologies, STEM, and environmental innovation by developing solutions to real-world environmental challenges. The activity brings together young women aged 18 and over from Cyprus, Hungary, and Lithuania, who will work in national teams under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Through collaborative learning methods and the use of digital tools, participants will design and present innovative proposals addressing waste reduction, clean energy, biodiversity protection, and raising awareness of climate change within local communities. The programme will conclude with presentation sessions during which the teams will showcase their original solutions before an evaluation committee comprising environmental experts, representatives of local authorities, and entrepreneurship professionals.
The proposals will be assessed based on their innovation, sustainability, functionality, and potential for practical implementation.

The collaboration among the three organisations strengthens the exchange of knowledge and experience, promotes the equal participation of young women in STEM fields, and empowers their role in the green and digital transition.
Through their participation in the Eco-Tech Hackathon, the young women are expected to enhance their digital and entrepreneurial skills, develop innovative eco-tech prototypes, and expand their international networks of collaboration.
