Πριν από αρκετούς μήνες (ίσως και χρόνο) είχε φτάσει στο SkalaTimes ηλεκτρονικό μήνυμα με καταγγελίες που αφορούσαν μοναστήρι στην κοινότητα Τρούλλοι της επαρχίας Λάρνακας. Καθώς δεν υπήρχαν τεκμηριωμένα στοιχεία, αλλά μόνο γενικές και αόριστες αναφορές, και μετά από συζήτηση επί του θέματος με ιερέα της Λάρνακας, η συντακτική ομάδα επέλεξε να μην προχωρήσει σε δημοσίευση.
Σήμερα, ωστόσο, έφτασε στο SkalaTimes νέα επιστολή, συνοδευόμενη από χειρόγραφες υπογραφές πιστών. Το SkalaTimes δημοσιεύει το περιεχόμενο της επιστολής χωρίς να υιοθετεί ή να απορρίπτει τους ισχυρισμούς που περιλαμβάνονται σε αυτήν και, παράλληλα, έχει αποστείλει το δημοσίευμα (με ηλεκτρονικό μήνυμα) στην Ιερά Μητρόπολη Κιτίου και στην Ιερά Αρχιεπισκοπή για ενημέρωση και άμεση διερεύνηση.
Ακολουθεί αυτούσια η επιστολή:
Με την παρούσα επιστολή, μία μεγάλη ομάδα Ορθοδόξων Χριστιανών και πιστών της Κύπρου εκφράζουμε τη βαθύτατη ανησυχία και οδύνη μας για τα όσα αντικανονικά και δογματικά απαράδεκτα συμβαίνουν σε συγκεκριμένο γυναικείο μοναστήρι του νησιού, με το όνομα Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Ρόδον το Αμάραντον το οποίο βρίσκεται στο χωριό Τρούλλοι της Λάρνακας.
Παρά τις επανειλημμένες ιδιωτικές ενοχλήσεις και εκκλήσεις προς τους αρμόδιους εκκλησιαστικούς κύκλους, η κατάσταση παραμένει ανεξέλεγκτη.
Δύο μοναχές έχουν απομονώσει πλήρως τη Μονή, διώχνοντας συστηματικά κόσμο, άλλοτε ιερείς, άλλοτε προσκυνητές, και άλλοτε όλες τις δόκιμες μοναχές που εισέρχονται στη μονή.
Έχουν μετατρέψει το μοναστήρι σε κλειστό παρασυναγωγικό χώρο.
Το πλέον ανησυχητικό, ωστόσο, είναι η καλλιέργεια και διάδοση ετεροδιδασκαλιών και δογματικών παρεκκλίσεων που έρχονται σε πλήρη αντίθεση με την Ορθόδοξη Δογματική και την παράδοση της Εκκλησίας. Εισάγονται αντικανονικές πρακτικές, αλλοιώνοντας το Ορθόδοξο φρόνημα και προωθείται μια ιδιότυπη πνευματική πλάνη, η οποία θέτει σε άμεσο κίνδυνο τις ψυχές των ανυποψίαστων πιστών που εισέρχονται στη μονή.
Επειδή η σιωπή θεωρείται πλέον συνενοχή και η ανοχή στην αλλοίωση της πίστης συνιστά προδοσία, καλούμε την Ιερά Σύνοδο της Εκκλησίας της Κύπρου, τα εκκλησιαστικά μέσα ενημέρωσης και το σώμα των θεολόγων να παρέμβουν άμεσα.
Ζητούμε τη διεξαγωγή επίσημης εκκλησιαστικής ανάκρισης, μα κυρίως την άμεση απομάκρυνση των εν λόγω μοναζουσών, και την αποκατάσταση της ορθόδοξης τάξης στην Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Ρόδον το Αμάραντον, Τρούλλοι, Λάρνακα.

Complaints from believers regarding the Holy Monastery of Panagia “Rodon to Amarathon” in Troulloi – SkalaTimes forwards the letter to the competent authorities

Several months ago (possibly even a year), SkalaTimes received an email containing complaints concerning a monastery in the community of Troulloi in the Larnaca district. As there was no substantiated evidence, but only general and vague references, and following a discussion on the matter with a priest from Larnaca, the editorial team chose not to proceed with publication.
Today, however, SkalaTimes received a new letter, accompanied by handwritten signatures of believers. SkalaTimes publishes the content of the letter without endorsing or rejecting the claims contained therein and, at the same time, forwards the publication to the Holy Metropolis of Kition and the competent authorities for information and immediate investigation.
The letter follows verbatim:
“With this letter, a large group of Orthodox Christians and faithful of Cyprus express their deepest concern and anguish regarding what they describe as uncanonical and doctrinally unacceptable developments taking place in a specific women’s monastery on the island, namely the Holy Monastery of Panagia Rodon to Amarathon, located in the village of Troulloi in Larnaca.
Despite repeated private interventions and appeals to the relevant ecclesiastical authorities, the situation remains uncontrolled.
Two nuns have completely isolated the Monastery, systematically expelling people—sometimes priests, sometimes pilgrims, and at other times all novice nuns who enter the monastery.
They have turned the monastery into a closed, para-synagogical space.
Most concerning, however, is the cultivation and dissemination of heterodox teachings and doctrinal deviations that are in complete contradiction with Orthodox dogma and the tradition of the Church. Uncanonical practices are being introduced, altering the Orthodox spirit, and a peculiar spiritual delusion is being promoted, which is said to place the souls of unsuspecting believers who enter the monastery at immediate risk.
Since silence is now considered complicity and tolerance of the distortion of faith constitutes betrayal, we call upon the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus, ecclesiastical media, and the body of theologians to intervene immediately.
We request the conduct of an official ecclesiastical inquiry, and above all the immediate removal of the said nuns, and the restoration of Orthodox order at the Holy Monastery of Panagia Rodon to Amarathon, Troulloi, Larnaca.
