Μαρτυρία και από την Αθήνα θα συλλέξει η Αστυνομία σε σχέση με τη σοβαρή υπόθεση που εξετάζει, με εμπλεκόμενο τον βουλευτή Νίκο Σύκα, ύστερα από καταγγελία της συντρόφου του ότι της επιτέθηκε και την χτύπησε.
Ο φάκελος της υπόθεσης με τις μαρτυρίες που συνέλεξαν ανακριτές του ΤΑΕ Λεμεσού από την Κυριακή 2 Ιανουαρίου και μετά, παρουσιάστηκε χθες στη Νομική Υπηρεσία για οδηγίες, νοουμένου ότι βάσει της νομοθεσίας δεν επιτρέπεται ανάκριση, σύλληψη ή παρουσία σε δίκη μέλους της Βουλής χωρίς προηγουμένως να αρθεί η ασυλία του.
Μεταξύ άλλων, σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες του «Φ», δόθηκαν οδηγίες στους ανακριτές να συλλέξουν περαιτέρω μαρτυρία που να ενδυναμώνει τα όσα κατάγγειλε η γυναίκα. Γι’ αυτό και κρίνεται ως επιβεβλημένο να ζητηθεί η δικαστική συνδρομή των ελληνικών Αρχών γύρω από την υπόθεση. Νοουμένου ότι το περιστατικό της επίθεσης και τα όσα επακολούθησαν, έλαβαν χώρα στην Αθήνα, κρίνεται απαραίτητο να προσκομιστεί μαρτυρία από άτομα που είχαν άμεση ή έμμεση εμπλοκή. Όπως για παράδειγμα ο γιατρός, τον οποίον είδε η σύντροφος του βουλευτή μετά το περιστατικό και στον οποίον ανέφερε σε σχέση με την κατάστασή της, ότι είχε χτυπηθεί. Η μαρτυρία του θεωρείται ως άμεσα συνδεδεμένη με το όλο επεισόδιο και είναι ενισχυτική των όσων καταγγέλλει.

The Police will also collect testimony from Athens in relation to the serious case under investigation involving MP Nikos Syka, following a complaint by his partner that he attacked and assaulted her.
The case file, containing testimonies gathered by investigators of the Limassol CID from Sunday, January 2 onward, was yesterday submitted to the Legal Service for instructions, given that under the law it is not permitted to interrogate, arrest, or bring to trial a member of Parliament unless their immunity has first been lifted.
Among other things, according to information from “F”, investigators were instructed to collect additional testimony that would strengthen the woman’s allegations. For this reason, it is deemed imperative to request judicial assistance from the Greek authorities in relation to the case. Since the alleged attack and the events that followed took place in Athens, it is considered necessary to secure testimony from individuals who had direct or indirect involvement. For example, the doctor whom the MP’s partner saw after the incident and to whom she reported her condition, stating that she had been assaulted. His testimony is considered directly linked to the incident as a whole and supportive of her allegations.
