Με κατάνυξη τελέστηκε σήμερα η Θεία Λειτουργία και το ετήσιο μνημόσυνο του Αρχιεπισκόπου και Εθνάρχη Μακαρίου Γ΄, καθώς και των Ηρώων του Δήμου Δρομολαξιάς.
Στην τελετή παρέστησαν ο Δήμαρχος Δρομολαξιάς-Μενεού κ. Κύπρος Ανδρονίκου, ο οποίος εκφώνησε τον επιμνημόσυνο λόγο, ο Αντιδήμαρχος Δρομολαξιάς-Μενεού κ. Γιάννος Ιωάννου, ο Αντιδήμαρχος Κιτίου κ. Νίκος Χατζημιχαήλ, ο Βουλευτής του ΑΚΕΛ κ. Ανδρέας Πασιουρτίδης, ο Βουλευτής Αμμοχώστου ΔΗΣΥ κ. Γιώργος Κάρουλλας, ο εκπρόσωπος του ΕΛΑΜ και Σχολικός Έφορος Δρομολαξιάς κ. Δημήτρης Παπαγεωργίου, καθώς και ο Βουλευτής Αμμοχώστου ΔΗΠΑ κ. Μιχαήλ Γιακουμής.
Το «παρών» έδωσαν επίσης εκπρόσωποι της Αστυνομίας και της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας Λάρνακας, καθώς και οι οικογένειες των Ηρώων.
Αμέσως μετά, τελέστηκε τρισάγιο στο Πάρκο Πεσόντων από τους ιερείς της ενορίας, και η τελετή ολοκληρώθηκε με την ανάκρουση του Εθνικού Ύμνου.
Αιωνία τους η μνήμη.

Dromolaxia: Memorial Prayer for Archbishop and Ethnarch Makarios III and the Heroes of Dromolaxia Municipality
With reverence, the Divine Liturgy and the annual memorial service for Archbishop and Ethnarch Makarios III, as well as for the Heroes of the Municipality of Dromolaxia, were held today.
The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Dromolaxia-Meneou, Mr. Kypros Andronikou, who delivered the memorial speech, the Deputy Mayor of Dromolaxia-Meneou, Mr. Yiannos Ioannou, the Deputy Mayor of Kiti, Mr. Nikos Chatzimichael, AKEL MP Mr. Andreas Pasiourtides, DISY MP for Famagusta Mr. Giorgos Karoullas, ELAM representative and Dromolaxia School Board Officer Mr. Dimitris Papageorgiou, as well as DIPA MP for Famagusta Mr. Michail Giakoumis.
Also present were representatives of the Larnaca Police and Fire Service, along with the families of the Heroes.
Immediately after, a trisagion memorial service was held at the Fallen Heroes Park by the parish priests, and the ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
