Το Ίδρυμα Πολιτιστικής Δημιουργίας για Παιδιά και Νέους και τα Αρχεία Λάρνακας – Φοίβος
Σταυρίδης διοργανώνουν την έκθεση Lefkart VIII, τα εγκαίνια της οποίας θα πραγματοποιηθούν
την Τρίτη, 24 Φεβρουαρίου 2026, στις 18:00, στην Πρώην Οικία Αστυνομικού Διευθυντή
Λάρνακας, στο Πάρκο Σαλίνα.
Η έκθεση παρουσιάζει έργα μαθητών Μέσης, Μέσης Τεχνικής και Ανώτερης Εκπαίδευσης με
θεματικό άξονα το Λευκαρίτικο Κέντημα σαν Πηγή Έμπνευσης για τα Παιδιά και τους
Νέους, προσεγγίζοντας δημιουργικά την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά μέσα από σύγχρονες
καλλιτεχνικές πρακτικές. Μέσα από τον διάλογο παράδοσης και σύγχρονης έκφρασης, οι νέοι
δημιουργοί επαναπροσδιορίζουν το λευκαρίτικο κέντημα ως ζωντανό πολιτιστικό κεφάλαιο της
Κύπρου.
Η διοργάνωση πραγματοποιείται από το Ίδρυμα Πολιτιστικής Δημιουργίας για Παιδιά και Νέους
σε συνεργασία με τα Αρχεία Λάρνακας – Φοίβος Σταυρίδης, με τη στήριξη του Υφυπουργείου
Πολιτισμού και του Οργανισμού Νεολαίας Κύπρου, και με την υποστήριξη του Larnaka 2030 και
της Αρχής Αντιμετώπισης Εξαρτήσεων Κύπρου.
Το πρόγραμμα και η έκθεση τελούν υπό την Αιγίδα της Κυπριακής Εθνικής Επιτροπής
UNESCO.

Former Residence of the Chief of Police of Larnaca – Patticheio (Salina) Park
The Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth and the Larnaca Archives – Phoebus Stavrides
are organizing the exhibition Lefkart VIII, the opening of which will take place on Tuesday, 24
February 2026, at 18:00, at the Former Residence of the Chief of Police of Larnaca, located in
Patticheio (Salina) Park.
The exhibition presents works by students of Secondary, Technical Secondary, and Higher
Education, under the thematic focus “Lefkara Lace as a Source of Inspiration for Children
and Youth.” Through contemporary artistic practices, the participants creatively engage with
cultural heritage, establishing a dialogue between tradition and modern expression. In this
context, young creators reinterpret Lefkara embroidery as a living cultural asset of Cyprus.
The exhibition is organized by the Cultural Foundation for Children and Youth in collaboration
with the Larnaca Archives – Phoebus Stavrides, with the support of the Deputy Ministry of
Culture and the Cyprus Youth Organization, and with the contribution of Larnaka 2030 and the
Cyprus National Addictions Authority.
The programme and the exhibition are held under the auspices of the Cyprus National
Commission for UNESCO.
