Τη δική της τοποθέτηση για το πολύπαθο έργο του Λιμανιού και της Μαρίνας Λάρνακας καταθέτει με γραπτή δήλωσή της η Δρ Άνδρεα Θεολόγου Μανώλη, Υποψήφια Βουλευτής ΔΗ.ΣΥ. Λάρνακας. Σε μια περίοδο όπου η κοινωνία της πόλης εκφράζει έντονη αγανάκτηση για τις συνεχείς καθυστερήσεις και την απουσία ξεκάθαρου σχεδιασμού, η ίδια αναδεικνύει το χρόνιο έλλειμμα υλοποίησης που χαρακτηρίζει ένα έργο στρατηγικής σημασίας για την ανάπτυξη της Λάρνακας. Zητά καθαρό πλάνο, δεσμευτικά χρονοδιαγράμματα και ουσιαστική λογοδοσία από τους αρμόδιους φορείς, υπογραμμίζοντας ότι η πόλη δεν ζητά χάρη, αλλά την αυτονόητη προώθηση ενός έργου που δικαιούται εδώ και χρόνια.

Η Λάρνακα δεν έχει έλλειμμα ιδεών. Έχει έλλειμμα υλοποίησης.
Και το πιο χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα είναι το Λιμάνι και η Μαρίνα, ένα έργο στρατηγικής σημασίας για την πόλη ,ας, που παραμένει σε εκκρεμότητα για υπερβολικά μεγάλο χρονικό διάστημα.
Η κοινωνία της Λάρνακας ζητά κάτι απλό και αυτονόητο, καθαρό πλάνο, δεσμευτικά χρονοδιαγράμματα και λογοδοσία. Όχι άλλη ασάφεια, όχι άλλες αναβολές, όχι άλλες εξαγγελίες χωρίς αποτέλεσμα.
Καλώ τους αρμόδιους να προχωρήσουν άμεσα σε ουσιαστική, λεπτομερή εξέταση των επιλογών και προτάσεων που βρίσκονται ενώπιον τους, ώστε το έργο να μπει ξανά σε τροχιά υλοποίησης με γνώμονα το δημόσιο συμφέρον.
Η Λάρνακα δεν ζητά χάρη. Ζητά να προχωρήσει ένα έργο που δικαιούται.

Dr Andrea Theologou Manoli, DISY candidate MP for Larnaca, sets out her position on the long-troubled Larnaca Port and Marina project through a written statement. At a time when the city’s society is expressing strong frustration over constant delays and the lack of clear planning, she highlights the chronic failure of implementation that has come to define a project of strategic importance for Larnaca’s development. She calls for a clear plan, binding timelines and genuine accountability from the competent authorities, stressing that the city is not asking for a favour, but for the obvious advancement of a project it has been entitled to for years.
Her written statement:
Larnaca does not suffer from a lack of ideas. It suffers from a lack of implementation.
And the most characteristic example is the Port and the Marina — a project of strategic importance for the city, which has remained pending for an unacceptably long period of time.
The people of Larnaca are asking for something simple and self-evident: a clear plan, binding timelines and accountability. No more ambiguity, no more postponements, no more announcements without results.
I call on the competent authorities to proceed immediately with a substantive and detailed examination of the options and proposals before them, so that the project can be put back on a path of implementation, guided by the public interest.
Larnaca is not asking for a favour. It is asking for a project it rightfully deserves.
