Η Ανάπλαση της Πλατείας Αγίου Μάμα στο Δημοτικό Διαμέρισμα Τρούλλων εισέρχεται πλέον στη φάση της υλοποίησης, σηματοδοτώντας την έναρξη ενός έργου-ορόσημου για την κοινότητα και για ολόκληρη την Αραδίππου.
Σε δήλωσή του, ο Δήμαρχος Αραδίππου κ. Χριστόδουλος Πάρτου ανέφερε:
«Η Ανάπλαση της Πλατείας Αγίου Μάμα είναι ένα έργο ουσίας που αναβαθμίζει τον πυρήνα της κοινότητας Τρούλλων και ενισχύει συνολικά την εικόνα της Αραδίππου. Δημιουργούμε έναν σύγχρονο, λειτουργικό και φιλικό δημόσιο χώρο, που σέβεται την ιστορία του τόπου και απαντά στις ανάγκες των κατοίκων και των επισκεπτών. Είναι μια επένδυση στο μέλλον της περιοχής και στην ποιότητα ζωής των δημοτών μας.»
Πρόκειται για μια ολοκληρωμένη αστική παρέμβαση που αναβαθμίζει τον πυρήνα της κοινότητας, ενισχύει τη λειτουργικότητα και την αισθητική του δημόσιου χώρου και αναδεικνύει την τοπική ταυτότητα, συνδέοντας τον ιστορικό και πολιτιστικό χαρακτήρα της περιοχής με τις σύγχρονες ανάγκες των κατοίκων και των επισκεπτών.
Η νέα πλατεία σχεδιάζεται ως ζωντανό κύτταρο κοινωνικής ζωής, χώρος συνάντησης, πολιτισμού και δημιουργίας, ικανός να φιλοξενεί εκδηλώσεις και δράσεις που ενισχύουν τη συνοχή της κοινότητας και προσδίδουν νέα δυναμική στην καθημερινότητα των Τρούλλων.
Ανάδειξη της Αραδίππου και αναπτυξιακή – τουριστική προοπτική
Η υλοποίηση του έργου συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στη συνολική ανάδειξη της Αραδίππου, ενισχύοντας την εικόνα του Δήμου ως περιοχής που επενδύει στη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, την ποιότητα ζωής και τον σεβασμό στον δημόσιο χώρο.
Η αισθητική και χωρική αναβάθμιση της πλατείας, σε άμεση συνάφεια με τη νέα και την παλαιά Εκκλησία του Αγίου Μάμα, δημιουργεί ένα ενιαίο και ελκυστικό περιβάλλον που μπορεί να αποτελέσει σημείο αναφοράς για πολιτιστικές διαδρομές και ήπια τουριστική ανάπτυξη, προσελκύοντας επισκέπτες και ενισχύοντας την τοπική οικονομία.
Παράλληλα, η δημιουργία σύγχρονων υποδομών, χώρων πρασίνου και πολιτιστικών εγκαταστάσεων αναβαθμίζει την εμπειρία τόσο των κατοίκων όσο και των επισκεπτών, καθιστώντας τους Τρούλλους έναν προορισμό αυθεντικό, λειτουργικό και φιλόξενο.
Ένα έργο με κοινωνικό και περιβαλλοντικό αποτύπωμα
Ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δίνεται στην καθολική προσβασιμότητα, διασφαλίζοντας ότι ο νέος δημόσιος χώρος θα είναι προσβάσιμος και φιλικός προς όλους, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των ατόμων με αναπηρίες, των ηλικιωμένων και των οικογενειών με παιδιά.
Ο σχεδιασμός του έργου ενσωματώνει σύγχρονες περιβαλλοντικές πρακτικές, με ενίσχυση του πρασίνου, βιώσιμα υλικά και λειτουργικές παρεμβάσεις που αναβαθμίζουν το αστικό τοπίο και βελτιώνουν την ποιότητα ζωής στην περιοχή.
Υλοποίηση του έργου
Το έργο υλοποιείται από την εταιρεία IMATECH KOUNNA LIMITED, κατόπιν δημόσιου διαγωνισμού (Αρ. ΔΑ/ΤΥ/22/2024), με συνολικό συμβατικό ποσό €2.219.885,80.
Η διάρκεια υλοποίησης του έργου ανέρχεται σε 24 μήνες, σύμφωνα με το εγκεκριμένο χρονοδιάγραμμα.
Κυκλοφοριακές ρυθμίσεις
Η εκτέλεση του έργου θα υλοποιηθεί σε δύο φάσεις. Οι κάτοικοι και επαγγελματίες που θα επηρεαστούν από την πρώτη φάση των εργασιών θα ενημερωθούν έγκαιρα με γραπτή επιστολή, η οποία θα παραδοθεί ιδιοχείρως από τον εργολάβο του έργου.
Όσον αφορά τους επισκέπτες της περιοχής, παρακαλούνται όπως ακολουθούν τη σχετική σήμανση και τις κυκλοφοριακές ρυθμίσεις που θα τοποθετηθούν από την Τροχαία, για την ασφάλεια όλων και τη διευκόλυνση της κυκλοφορίας.

Implementation of the Redevelopment of Agios Mamas Square in Troulloi Begins
The redevelopment of Agios Mamas Square in the Municipal District of Troulloi has now entered the implementation phase, marking the launch of a landmark project for the community and for the Municipality of Aradippou as a whole.
In a statement, the Mayor of Aradippou, Mr Christodoulos Partou, said:
“The redevelopment of Agios Mamas Square is a project of real substance that upgrades the core of the Troulloi community and enhances the overall image of Aradippou. We are creating a modern, functional and welcoming public space that respects the history of the area while meeting the needs of residents and visitors. It is an investment in the future of the area and in the quality of life of our citizens.”
This is a comprehensive urban intervention that upgrades the heart of the community, enhances the functionality and aesthetics of the public space, and highlights local identity, linking the historical and cultural character of the area with the contemporary needs of residents and visitors.
The new square is designed as a vibrant hub of social life — a place for meeting, culture and creativity — capable of hosting events and activities that strengthen community cohesion and bring new dynamism to everyday life in Troulloi.
Highlighting Aradippou and development – tourism prospects
The implementation of the project makes a substantial contribution to the overall promotion of Aradippou, strengthening the image of the Municipality as an area that invests in sustainable development, quality of life and respect for public space.
The aesthetic and spatial upgrade of the square, in direct connection with both the new and the old Church of Agios Mamas, creates a unified and attractive environment that can serve as a reference point for cultural routes and mild tourism development, attracting visitors and boosting the local economy.
At the same time, the creation of modern infrastructure, green spaces and cultural facilities enhances the experience of both residents and visitors, establishing Troulloi as an authentic, functional and welcoming destination.
A project with social and environmental impact
Particular emphasis is placed on universal accessibility, ensuring that the new public space will be accessible and friendly to all, including persons with disabilities, the elderly and families with children.
The project’s design incorporates modern environmental practices, with increased greenery, sustainable materials and functional interventions that upgrade the urban landscape and improve quality of life in the area.
Project implementation
The project is being implemented by the company IMATECH KOUNNA LIMITED, following a public tender (No. ΔΑ/ΤΥ/22/2024), with a total contractual value of €2,219,885.80.
The project’s implementation period is 24 months, in accordance with the approved schedule.
Traffic arrangements
The execution of the project will be carried out in two phases. Residents and professionals affected by the first phase of works will be informed in good time via a written notice, which will be hand-delivered by the project contractor.
Visitors to the area are kindly requested to follow the relevant signage and traffic arrangements that will be put in place by the Traffic Police, for everyone’s safety and to facilitate traffic flow.
